I, Ladan Baba Ndanani (talk about a mouth full) entered the world on the friday morning of February 15th, 1991 in Manhattan, NY to one Tammy Westbrook and Baba I. Ndanani. Completing what would be their third and final stop of the trio.

Being the youngest of two other extremely unique and headstrong siblings, I sure had my work cut out for me, but I didn't let that stop me from positioning myself as man of the house. One in which my beautifully gracious mother, humorously supported.

Having a mother born of Southern Kentucky and the youngest of 13, as well as a father born in Nigeria and the oldest of 11, let’s just say there was never a dull moment! Though I never got to see many members of my family that often due to geography. Family is everything to me, and any chance I got to spend with them I took it.

That connection you have with the people you love (blood or not), that natural essence of life and understanding is something I think is paramount to not just being great strategist, but understanding how to truly reach people on a deeper level.

Growing up I was always the kid with wanderlust, involved in something or on an adventure, finding something, building something, breaking something! The curiosity never stopped and growing up on a massive park I felt I could call my own only amplified that.

Soon after, I found myself with the extreme desire to compete and push myself to prove what I could do, not only to other, but to myself.

That eventually lead to me becoming the first middle schooler in New Jersey Math Olympics history to lead a team to back-to-back championships, as a 7th grader and 8th grader.

My journey would continue to and through high school were I would eventually play 7 sports (Yes...7 ) during that time. The main one being football, one of the greatest passions of my life, and one of the sports I believe shapes character like no other.
